How Patience Jonathan made her husband lose 2015 Presidential election – David Mark

The immediate past Senate President, David Mark, has revealed that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan lost the support of key members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who discreetly worked against his re-election due to the suspicious nature of his wife, Patience Jonathan.
Mark’s claim was contained in the book, ‘Against the Run of Play’ written by the Chairman ThisDay Board of Editors and former Presidential spokesperson, Olusegun Adeniyi.

Governor Wike and wife make purchases at Popular Port Harcourt Market

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike accompanied by his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike on Wednesday visited the Creek Road Market in Port Harcourt where they made purchases amid cheers by traders and market women.The Governor and his wife arrived the market in a bus and walked through different parts of the market where they negotiated and paid for wares of interest.The governor and his wife bought cooking oil, beads, wrappers and household cooking items.
As the governor and his wife paid for items purchased , they joked with the traders , assuring them that his administration will always work to promote their welfare and interest.

More revelations have emerged on the alleged conspiracy of the US in the electoral defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.Jonathan had claimed that former American President Barack Obama, was responsible for his loss.Jonathan had said, “President Barack Obama and his officials made it very clear to me by their actions that they wanted a change of government in Nigeria and we’re ready to do anything to achieve that purpose. They even brought some naval ships into the Gulf of Guinea in the days preceding the election.”

The lawyers asked the judge if the case could be dismissed "without prejudice," meaning it could be refiled. The lawyers also said Katherine never realized this would turn into a full-blown trial.

In an advanced copy of the book, ‘Against the Run of Play – How an incumbent president was defeated in Nigeria,’ written by the Chairman of the THISDAY Editorial Board, Olusegun Adeniyi, and obtained by THISDAY Tuesday, Jonathan also revealed to the author that the U.S. government “even brought some naval ships into the Gulf of Guinea in the days preceding the elections”.

Court freezes all bank accounts of NDDC MD, Ekere over N27m bank debt

An Uyo Federal High Court sitting in Akwa Ibom has frozen some bank accounts belonging to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Corporation, NDDC, Nsima Ekere, for defaulting in paying a N27m credit facility he borrowed from the defunct Oceanic Bank, now Ecobank Plc.Ekere, a former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State was accused of defaulting on a credit facility to the tune of N27m that the defunct Oceanic Bank, now Ecobank Plc, had granted him.

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu granted bail on health grounds

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday.Kanu was granted bail on health grounds.The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of whom must be a serving Senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person, who own land anywhere in Abuja.The bail bond has been set at N100 million for each surety.Kanu was also ordered never to grant any interviews to the press, pending the outcome of his trial. He will not be seen in a gathering of more than 10 people.

300 Level Student Anally Rapes 10 Year Old Girl To Death

A student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, is in the grips of the Police for sodomising a 10 year old girl for 3 years and giving her a cocktail of painkillers which caused her kidneys to fail leading to her death. .The young man was arrested on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, while relaxing in a sofa chair at his parent’s house. His arrest was spurred by the outcome of series of medical reports conducted on the 10 year old after complaining of having some complications on her anus and sent to the hospital for treatment.
